Mary has always been an artist from early age starting in grade school to the present, winning awards such as 'Best of Show' for her Custom Metal Furniture Art at equine fairs, rodeos and festivals. She attends the National Finals Rodeo and High School Finals Rodeos in Las Vegas. Mary's background is ranching, farming, & equine events. She was the owner/operator of a large indoor arena where a weekly rodeo and equine events take place. She then found herself setting up a western store in the building selling western tack, gifts, & equipment. Mary began to make wrought iron gates / entries, gifts, and custom metal tables lamps. When she changed her art medium to steel, she found that it was very gratifying.
Sheet Metal Art will last for many years to come.
"I know what an animal or silhouette image should look like in movement or standing still," Mary states.
Mary and her late husband Milton started the company nearly 9 years ago. The name was My Custom Silhouettes and Tack. It has since been changed to Custom Western Art. We feel the new name will be easier to recall for our customers. We guarantee our work and the creation begins when you place the order.
Mary recently found her new friend Howard Nordyke to be a wonderful fit for her and her business. Being an electrical engineer and also wining awards in art, Howard offers Mary more ideas and imagination for new products. He helps Mary add to and perfect the beautiful creations of their family business. It was only natural when Mary and Howard joined forces and were married.
Custom Western Art products are on display in western stores and furniture stores in several states. Whatever, you, our customers can imagine we can create it!
Remember, if you like something that we've created, but it isn't exactly what you are looking for, Mary will customize your project to match/fit your needs. All Sheet Metal Art Work by Custom Western Art is created free hand, hand painted, and made with a hand held plasma torch. None of my work is created with a laser or a computer therefore, each individual piece of custom metal furniture is an original work of art and each piece will have its own individuality.
